New Norwegian 70 MHz allocations out for hearing
Published on 23 March 2012 by Tom LA4LN
Today (22 March 2012) the Norwegian Post and Telecommunications Administration (PT) issued a hearing on changes in the Norwegian amateur radio license regulations. The proposal includes the new frequency segment 472 - 479 kHz adopted by WRC-2012 for amateur radio use on a secondary basis. Further, PT proposes that also 70.1875 - 70.2625 MHz should be allowed for radio amateurs on a secondary basis (in addition to the existing permissions); but not in the following counties: Hordaland, Rogaland and Vest-Agder (all in south-west Norway), because the proposed frequency segment is still in use here by commercial services. The hearing ends 21 May 2012. No date is given for when the new regulations may be effective.
