Modify Walkie Midland LMR 70-065

HI friends

I keep spending my free time to homebuilding in the electronic workshop with the band of 4 meters.

I'm looking for service manual, equivalent circuit, or some experience of this old walkie Midland LMR 70-065-48B, this model works in the frequency range 77-88MHz.

The idea is to modify it to suit the low band of 70MHz, is the ideal information model LMR 70-065-48A (range 66-77Mhz) any information about me can do well, probably there will be many equivalent schemes.
