Anyone tried / trying / thinking of trying WSPR on 4m? If so, what frequency? Just having a look at it now to gauge interest (including mine!) / value. Be interested to hear.

I'll give it a go. Only used WSPR on HF, but it would be interesting to try.

I don't think there's an official frequency. Pick somewhere quiet and ask if the frequency is in use and, if no reply, use that...

Please post a message on here and I'll keep logging in over the weekend to set up a sked.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the reply. If it's convenient with you and other things being equal, I'll give it a go next Tuesday and Wednesday evening (28/29th July) from about 20.30 clock time. I am at home during the day most days so can run then if you are around... I would suggest 70.030 as the legit frequency to start with!
Let me know if you are able to listen then. Will be about 10W (can go to 60W) to a 2-el a about 7m - so not a mega-DX set up.
Cheers

OK Pete,

I' also working from home this week, so could find time for a sked.

I'll need to climb up on the garage roof to turn the 4m antenna in your direction.

I may not be available at the times you suggest today and tomorrow, but possibly Thursday night might be OK.

I do monitor the 50/70 forum at www.on4kst.com so you could send me a message on there to see if I'm in the shack.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the reply. Will give it a go Wednesday during the day and possibly Thursday evening but will check via ON4KST as suggested.
Cheers!
