I'd like to announce that this year's North American 4m Eskip CW beacon is now QRV! First, I need to thank the Soc. of Broadcast Engineers in the US for allowing yet another summer of 4m operation. In the US, 4m spectrum is only for TV use. Second, thanks to the FCC OET office for granting the licence.
Without both parties agreement, the beacon would not be QRV.
WF9XRU Details:
QTH: FM07fm at 1280m AMSL
Freq: 70.005 MHz (GPS locked)
Mode: CW ID loop
Antenna: 3-ele yagi aimed at 60 degrees True North
ERP: 3kW max, but power for first week will be 2kW
The licensed power is 3dB lower than in past
years only because of temporary 2012 antenna QTH.
