Hello to friends old and new!

Postby GW4WND » Mon 12 Mar 2012, 22:26

Well yes - I am about to be QRV again on four!
Some will remember my high level of activity as G4WND and G4YNL contest station along with Jerry G4SEU back in the 90's (in the days when getting 30/10 was a struggle!).
I returned to Ham Radio seriously again last year after about 15 years away and I am on 2m at the moment.
Tonight however I dusted off the RN Transverter, rewired the RF inputs to suit the K3 and I am currently listening to Angus on the 2 metre beam.... it all works it seems.
I shall be building an antenna in the next week or two and then you will hear me on and about guys n gals.
Of further interest is that I go reasonably regularly to IO72 for weekends and my inlaws cottage on the Lleyn peninsular so will be QRV/P now and again from this rarer square.
73 for now

Hello Roger,
Long time since we had a QSO, 1996 in fact!

GM4WND/P in IO85RS.

Welcome back, things have changed quite a bit since then.
Regards,
Eddie
