Horizontal polarisation of course. :D
Unless you are only using FM (funny modulation) and only working locals.

There's G4DEZ just a few miles from you.
He'll probably melt your front end.
He's 59 with me.

Cheers

Tony

Are you just FM, or multimode?
It's unlikely you will hear Bryn other than SSB/CW/MS.
You should get out to Europe OK.
Next Tuesday, 2000 - 2230, is 4M UKAC so the band will be buzzing.

Cheers

hi
all mode but qrp
2mtr 70 cm ok 25 watts but all others 5w max
run 8 ele vertical and a 14 ele horizontal for 2mtr
dont get much time on radio and learning cw at moment so rx more than tx,
know your call from hrd great site , found this one when looking at 4m band, using billys cw course doing ok as well (i think anyway)
just bought my first 4mtr radio to look at band from (hrd)
and putting together a coax antenna details off this site, will be mounting it
horizontal as recommended might build two and put one vertical as well.
like idea of just leaving 4 m radio on in back ground

I've no verticals in use here.
Since you are in JO03 square you would be very popular, if people know you are about.
If you made an appearance during the UKAC it would increase your profile.
The 4M one is next Tuesday 2000 - 2230.
There is some FM used, on 4M, but generally speaking it's SSB and horizontally polarised antennas.
On other bands it's, as far as I know, all SSB/CW.

Cheers

Tony.
